Dawgma placed 4th overall and earned the Industrial Design Award sponsored by General Motors for our well-engineered, efficient, and durable robot, “Mariana.” The robot’s name pays homage to their 2018 robot, “Everest,” symbolizing the team’s continued drive to reach new heights. At this competition, Dawgma was the 7th Alliance Captain along with Team 2720 and Team 2722. They made it to the 4th round before being eliminated. Overall we earned 38 district points!

During this competition Ada and Emily were competing as Dean’s List Semi-Finalist. Congrats to Emily becaming a Dean’s List Finalist! Her outstanding leadership and contributions to the team and the FIRST community. She is one of 18 Finalists in the district and will continue on to compete at the FMA District Championship at Lehigh University, representing Dawgma among the best in the region.

With these achievements fueling their momentum, Team 1712 looks ahead to their next competition at Bensalem, ready to showcase their skills and make their 20th anniversary season one to remember.
